Board Member

Love without Violence, Inc. is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a critical role in guiding the strategic direction of our nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to raising domestic violence awareness, supporting survivors, and promoting healthy relationships in our community. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide governance and oversight of the organization’s mission, strategy, and financial health.
• Participate in board meetings, strategic planning sessions, and committee assignments.
• Offer leadership, advice, and expertise to ensure the sustainability and growth of the organization.
• Help identify and cultivate partnerships, donors, and resources to support the organization's initiatives.
• Act as an ambassador for Love without Violence, Inc., helping to spread awareness and promote its mission in the community.
• Assist in the development and evaluation of programs and services.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts, including attending events and supporting grant initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and practices.

Qualifications:

• A commitment to domestic violence awareness and survivor support.
• Prior board experience or a background in nonprofit leadership, finance, legal, marketing, fundraising, or social services is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to commit to 10 - 15 hours per month.
• Experience with fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing is an preferred but not required.
• A strong network in the community and the ability to connect the organization with new opportunities and resources.
