    Descripción

CicLAvia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that catalyzes vibrant public spaces, active transportation, and good health through car-free streets. CicLAvia engages with people to transform our relationship with our communities and with each other.

Join us on Sunday, August 17th (rain or shine!), as we close the streets of Culver City, Mar Vista and Venice to cars and open them up to the community to walk, bike, run, skate and play. Our routes are welcoming to people of all ages and abilities!

Hub Volunteers assist with activities at the hubs. These activities include:

    • Providing information to CicLAvia participants
    • Asking participants to dismount, slow down, or follow other traffic instructions related to hubs
    • Assisting Hub Staff with hub setup, breakdown, and maintenance
    • Enrolling participants in our newsletter and conducting LA Metro's Open Streets survey

We also have group volunteer opportunities! Our Adopt-An-Intersection Program is a great way for non-profits, community groups, school clubs, and teams (of 4 or more people) to volunteer together on the CicLAvia route.

Volunteer groups will be assigned a specific intersection, and guide participant traffic at car crossings, pedestrian crossings, and dismount zones. While volunteering, groups can promote their group to the thousands of CicLAvia participants.
