Every Meal Somali Translator Volunteer

Overview of the Every Meal Somali Translator Volunteer Position:

At Every Meal, we strive to reduce barriers that may limit a person's ability to access resources. In this position, the volunteer will translate various Every Meal materials and resources from English to Somali, including, but not limited to, program marketing materials such as flyers and posters, participant surveys, and website resources. This position will help ensure Every Meal provides accurate and accessible information for our community. The volunteer will work with the Program and Marketing Team at Every Meal.

Somali Translator Volunteer Responsibilities Include:

• Complete accurate translations of Program and Marketing materials and resources from English to Somali.

Skills and Abilities Needed:

• Ability to work independently
• Fluent in Somali and English

Location:

• This position can be done remotely, or a space and computer at the Every Meal office can be provided. Our preference is to work with volunteers who are members of the Minnesota community.

Time Commitment:

This position will be as needed as projects and translations requests arise throughout the year.
