Wentworth Hospice is a We Honor Veterans partner and is seeking Hospice Veteran Volunteers to help recognize, honor, and support veterans receiving hospice care.

Through the We Honor Veterans program, we are committed to addressing the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of veterans and ensuring every veteran is honored for their service and sacrifice.

🕊️ How VFW Members Can Serve

• • Provide companionship to veteran hospice patients
  • Participate in We Honor Veterans recognition and bedside pinning ceremonies
  • Listen as veterans share service experiences and life stories
  • Offer comfort, understanding, and respect from one veteran to another
  • Help ensure no veteran feels forgotten at the end of life

This is a non‑medical role. Your service is presence, connection, and honor.

🤍 Who Should Volunteer

• • VFW members and U.S. military veterans (strongly encouraged)
  • Civilians with a deep respect for veterans are welcome
  • Compassionate, dependable adults age 18+
  • Individuals comfortable supporting fellow veterans and their families
  • No hospice experience required — training provided

✅ Volunteer Requirements

• • Age 18 or older
  • Completion of volunteer orientation and background screening
  • A few hours per month
