Stuck inside at home but would love someone to talk to? Do your days feel long and lonely? Talk to a hospice patient who is navigating their end of life journey. You can talk about the weather, movies, music, hobbies you name it.
These calls provide connection, compassion and sunshine to our patients. You get a bio about the patient so you have things to talk about, and we also try to match you with someone who has similar interests. You will always talk to the same patient for the whole time they are service with us. It is a wonderful chance to get to know someone while making the world a better place.
There is an onboarding process and some training so you are completely comfortable. The calls are done once a week and you can pick the day and time. They usually are from 15 min to 1/2 hr but can go longer if you hit it off and like to chat.
