Responsibilities:
• Conduct Initial Interviews: Engage with individuals seeking assistance, empathetically collecting information related to potential wrongful convictions and unfair sentencing.
• Document Case Details: Maintain files and records. Ensuring the capture of all relevant information for comprehensive case evaluations. Search and save case records, media, and news clippings related to the case, and submit FOIA requests to various agencies
• Collaborate with the Legal Team: Work closely with our legal experts to provide them with the necessary details for case analysis and potential support.
Qualifications:
• Passionate commitment to justice, fairness, and human rights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Basic understanding of the legal system is beneficial, but not required.
• Ability to operate standard Mircosoft Windows operating systems
• A computer or laptop is available for use.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, etc. is a must!
• Familiarity with Google Drive is a must!
• Experience with administrative or customer service support.
