Hospice Volunteer

We at Cherishaven Hospice provides a very valuable service to our community: Care for the elderly at the end of their lives and the terminally ill. We would like to give the community and upcoming nursing professionals the opportunity to work closely with these patients.

Our program's mission is to educate and create individuals passionate about caregiving and hospice care.

By volunteering for Cherishaven Hospice, students and other volunteers will be able to gain first-hand experience by work closely within the hospice and homecare industry while also providing an important public service.

The activities that the volunteer can partake in are:

• Provide in-person companionship to patient
• Engaging in art, music, and games with the patient
• Transportation assistance for physician visits, shopping, and other errands
• Assistance in hospice administrative office duties
