Pet Protectors League is seeking a part-time Foster Coordinator to support our kitten foster program. This role is ideal for someone organized, reliable, and passionate about helping cats and kittens find safe temporary homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with fosters by phone, text, and email during daytime hours to:
- Confirm availability for new foster placements and transports
- Maintain and update our foster spreadsheet:
- Track which kittens are in which foster homes
- Record intake and outcome dates, medical notes, and adoption status
- Coordinate transport for kittens:
- Arrange pick-up and drop-off times and locations
- Communicate transport details clearly to drivers and fosters
- Ensure all needed supplies are ready for transport
- Assist with basic program organization:
- Keep digital records organized and up to date
- Help ensure fosters receive timely information and reminders
Qualifications
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Comfortable making phone calls and sending texts during the day
- Experience with spreadsheets (Excel)
- Clear, friendly written and verbal communication
- Reliable internet access and ability to work independently from home
- Prior rescue, foster, or animal-care experience is a plus but not required

- Flexible hours, but availability for occasional daytime communication is essential
