Join our hospice care team as a volunteer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families during one of life’s most important transitions. Hospice volunteers offer companionship, emotional support, and a calming presence to individuals facing serious illness.
Your time, kindness, and willingness to simply “be there” can bring comfort, dignity, and peace to those in need.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Provide companionship through conversation, reading, or quiet presence
- Offer emotional support to patients and family members
- Assist with light, non-medical tasks (errands, letter writing, etc.)
- Participate in bereavement support (optional, after training)
- Help with administrative support in our Parsippany office
Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, and a good listener
- Reliable and respectful of confidentiality
- Comfortable with end-of-life environments (training provided)
- Must be 18 years old
- Willing to complete background check and training
All volunteers receive comprehensive hospice training, ongoing support, and guidance from experienced staff. No prior healthcare experience is required, just a caring heart and a willingness to serve.

Our home office is centrally located in Parsippany, but we provide care wherever our patients reside. We cover all of Morris, Sussex, Bergen, Passaic, and parts of Union, and Essex Counties.
