About Activate Green Trust
Activate Green Trust is a youth-led, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action). We empower vulnerable communities in the Global South to build climate resilience through SDG 13.b and 13.3. To translate our high-level strategy into on-the-ground reality, we are expanding our executive board and recruiting three highly effective, operational Trustees to join our global remote team.
The Opportunity We are not looking for passive board members. We are seeking three proactive, mission-driven operators to take ownership of specific portfolios. You will work directly with the Founder and the current executive team to scale our global impact.
We are currently recruiting for the following three Trustee portfolios:
Head of Finance & Fundraising (Treasury)
- The Role: You will be the financial engine of the organization, actively hunting for donations and managing the treasury.
- Responsibilities: Researching and writing grant applications, securing corporate sponsorships, maintaining financial records, and forecasting budgets.
- Qualifications: Proven background in non-profit fundraising, grant writing, or corporate finance; a proactive "hunter" mentality; strong financial literacy.
Head of People & Talent (HR)
- The Role: You will be the architect of our organizational culture, managing our growing roster of international volunteers and ambassadors.
- Responsibilities: Designing global recruitment strategies, managing the legal and operational onboarding of volunteers, leading conflict resolution, and ensuring team retention.
- Qualifications: Experience in Human Resources, organizational psychology, or non-profit team management; high emotional intelligence; exceptional organizational skills for remote workforce management.
Head of Programs & Projects
- The Role: You will be the operational backbone, turning strategic vision into actionable, localised climate resilience projects.
- Responsibilities: Overseeing the full project lifecycle, developing impact measurement frameworks (LogFrames) against SDG 13 targets, and creating data-driven impact reports for donors.
- Qualifications: Proven experience in international development, project management, or program design; strong analytical skills; ability to execute agile project milestones.
Commitment & Location
- Location: 100% Remote / Global
- Time Commitment: Approximately 5-8 hours per week
- Compensation: This is an unpaid, volunteer Board of Trustees position.
