Volunteers Are the Heart of Hospice
By the Bay Health Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers in Sonoma County to provide friendship, comfort, and a supportive presence to patients on their end-of-life journey.
Our patients are often lonely and deeply value companionship. As a hospice volunteer, your role may include spending time talking and listening, helping patients share their life stories, reading aloud, playing cards, or enjoying music together. Sometimes, simply being present makes all the difference.
Hospice care goes beyond meeting physical needs — it honors comfort, dignity, and emotional support for both patients and their families. Volunteers play a vital role in making this possible.
