Be the Mentor Who Makes a Difference

Volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee (BBBSMT)

What if just a few hours a month could change a life, including your own?

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, we’re looking for volunteers to become Bigs. A Big is a trusted mentor matched one-on-one with a Little, a young person who is looking for support, encouragement, and someone in their corner.

Whether you're grabbing coffee, hopping on a video call, or playing a board game, it’s the relationship that matters most.

• Big Futures: A primarily virtual mentoring program for young people ages 15 to 22 that focuses on post-high school support, goal setting, college and career planning, and life skills. If you prefer more in-person time, you can visit the school to mentor once per week!

You don’t need any special training or experience. Just be consistent, kind, and willing to show up.

Who Can Be a Big?

We welcome volunteers who are:

• 22 or older
• Living in Middle Tennessee
• Able to commit to at least one academic year of mentoring
• Passionate about making a positive impact

We especially encourage volunteers from all backgrounds!
