About Us
Confronting Domestic Violence, Inc. (CDV) is a San Diego based nonprofit providing survivor support services and workplace violence prevention (SB 553) education for California employers. Our social media is how survivors find us, so this work matters.
The Role
Help create and schedule social media content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest. You will work alongside a small, friendly content team and get real feedback on your work.
Responsibilities
- Design branded graphics and short form video using Canva
- Write captions and hashtags for awareness, education, and event campaigns
- Schedule posts and keep the content calendar current
- Track basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, clicks)
- Respond to comments using trauma informed communication guidelines we will teach you
Qualifications
- Interest in nonprofit marketing, digital media, communications, or graphic design
- Comfortable writing clearly and following brand standards
- Reliable communicator who can meet simple weekly deadlines
- Students, career changers, and beginners welcome. No degree required.
Programs You Should Know (or Be Willing to Learn)
Canva, Google Drive, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest. Bonus: CapCut, Later, Buffer, or basic analytics tools.
Time Commitment
5 to 10 hours per month (about 1 to 2 hours per week). Remote and flexible. This is an unpaid volunteer position.
