Junior Achievement provides work readiness and financial literacy programming for K-12 students. The programming is led by community volunteers, which gives the students a unique opportunity to connect with adults who live and work in their area.
Junior Achievement has a structured curriculum uniquely designed for each grade, complete with PowerPoint slides, handouts, and group activities. As a volunteer for JA Day, you will lead 5 sessions in one classroom which lasts approximately 8am - 2pm. All materials are provided in advance, and training is led by Alisha Jones, District Manager of Junior Achievement of Tuscaloosa County.
