Markham Aaniin Community Enrichment Volunteer

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta.

We are looking for a Community Enrichment Volunteer—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves enrichment the community by planning and preparing for community events.

The Volunteer is responsible for:

• Building excitement surrounding community events

• Working in a team for material preparation

• Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone

Location:

📍Aaniin Community Center, Markham

Date & Time:

🗓️ Saturdays or Sundays Sept - Nov, 2025

Time to be discussed with supervisor

Who We're Looking For:

• Minimum age: 12

• Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and softwares

• Complete training prior to start date

• Can commit to the shift schedule

Bonus Skills:

• Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English

• Previous volunteer experience
