Help Us Get Food Where It’s Needed Most

SWB Delivers Outreach Program is seeking a dependable, organized, and community-minded Volunteer Food Program Administrator to coordinate our monthly food distribution program.

Each month, SWB Delivers receives donated food from the Bay Area Rescue Mission. We distribute food directly to residents within the communities we serve, and remaining food is shared with local nonprofit organizations, churches, navigation centers, and other community partners serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

What You’ll Do

As our Volunteer Food Program Administrator, you will take the lead in coordinating our monthly food distribution, including:

• Coordinate our food pickup from the Bay Area Rescue Mission on or around the first of each month
• Organize volunteers and logistics for pickup, sorting, and distribution
• Coordinate delivery of food to residents in the communities we serve
• Identify and communicate with nonprofit organizations, churches, navigation centers, and other community partners that can receive remaining food
• Help ensure donated food is distributed efficiently and responsibly
• Maintain basic records of food pickups, distributions, community partners, and households or organizations served
• Communicate with SWB Delivers leadership regarding each month's distribution and any additional needs
• Help strengthen and expand our network of food distribution partners

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Dependable and able to commit to coordinating the program once each month
• Organized and comfortable managing schedules and logistics
• A strong communicator who enjoys working with people
• Compassionate and committed to serving the community
• Comfortable coordinating volunteers and community partners
• Able to work independently while staying connected with our team
• Interested in food access, housing stability, community service, or nonprofit work

Experience in nonprofit programs, food distribution, volunteer coordination, logistics, property management, or community outreach is helpful but not required.

Time Commitment

Approximately one day per month for food pickup and distribution, plus limited coordination before and after each distribution date. Our primary food pickup occurs around the first of each month.
