Descripción
Please volunteer with the BAMSI Brown Bag Program by helping with food sorting, assembling grocery bags of food and/or bag distribution to local Brockton residents in need. The program takes place monthly on the third Thursday of each month at Teen Challenge in the Multi Purpose Auditorium. They start around 7:00am and finish up around 12:00pm; you can volunteer for one hour or the whole morning, what ever fits your schedule. We appreciate any help you can provide to help make a difference with food insecurity in the Brockton community! Below is a description and approximate time of each shift.
- 07:00 AM to 07:30 AM You will assist with unloading the semi-truck of over 18,000 pounds of food. This will be very physical work that will take some heavy lifting.
- 07:30 AM to 09:00 AM You will take the unloaded food and be a part of an assembly line to package the food.
- 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM Help load bags onto the truck, drive to Caffrey Towers, where you will unload the bags from the truck & deliver to residents. (755 Crescent Street)
- 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM Help load bags onto the truck, drive to Campello high rise, where you will unload the bags from the truck & deliver to residents. (1380 Main Street)
