Artistic expression plays a vital role in the healing process, and we support children in art, music, acting, poetry, writing, singing, and other creative mediums.

Job Summary
The Program Coordinator (Digital Fundraising Focus) plays a key role in driving A Free Bird’s fundraising initiatives by leading, educating, and supporting fundraising volunteers. Reporting directly to Human Resources and the President, you will help expand donor engagement, increase brand visibility, and strengthen digital fundraising programs across multiple platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, managing, and optimizing digital fundraising initiatives across platforms such as GoFundMe, Amazon Smile, and social media.
- Write grant proposals and assist with managing endowments to secure funding for organizational programs.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to coordinate digital fundraising efforts, including social media campaigns, email outreach, and virtual events.
- Support donor prospecting, including researching and soliciting major donors, corporate sponsors, and potential partners.
- Increase engagement with supporters through digital communications, newsletters, updates, and virtual donor events.
- Contribute to the development and execution of A Free Bird’s digital fundraising plan with creative, innovative ideas.
- Submit quarterly reports outlining campaign performance, insights, and future strategies.
- Hold mandatory weekly meetings with the Department Director and team to review progress and align on goals.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally involving digital fundraising, campaign management, or donor engagement.
- Degree in Management, Administration, Fundraising, or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to supervise volunteers and delegate tasks effectively.
- Creative thinker with enthusiasm for digital fundraising and community engagement.
- Experience with event planning, grant writing, or donor management is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with virtual fundraising tools and CRMs (Salesforce NPSP preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Analytical mindset and strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Internships are unpaid and for credit only. Academic credit must be approved by your institution.

- Minimum 3-month commitment
- 5–10 hours per week
- Fully remote
- Must have reliable computer access, internet connectivity, and availability for periodic phone/video meetings.
