Descripción
The History Research Intern will assist in compiling and researching topics related to the Pacific-Asian War, with a focus on World War II. This position involves researching and writing about historical events, individuals, and themes under the guidance of the Associate Historian. The internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a nonprofit history organization, develop research and writing skills, and engage with oral history initiatives through research, writing, and outreach activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research using primary and secondary sources related to World War II.
- Complete three short written assignments on minor topics during the summer.
- Develop and submit a long-form essay on an assigned topic by the end of the internship.
Requirements:
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in history or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough and organized research.
- Sensitivity and professionalism when dealing with difficult or sensitive materials related to the Pacific-Asian War.
