Board of Directors Member

Role Description and Key Responsibilities:

Board members attend monthly virtual meetings, in-person local board retreats (up to 3 half days), and participate in major activities such as fund-raising events. Note that retreats and events are held in the Minneapolis area.

• Develop relationships and identify opportunities for We Can Ride such as funding and partnerships
• Understand, support and advocate for the WCR mission and programs
• Maintain organizational direction to align with mission and values
• Partner with the Executive Director to advance our key priorities
• Participate in developing the strategic plan and goals for Board & Executive Director
• Provide input to and approval of proposed annual budget
• Ensure fiscal accountability through reviews of process & controls
