Hope Walk Event Volunteer

Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2025 from 6:30 AM -12:00 PM at California Lutheran University's William Rolland Stadium, 60 W Olsen Rd, Thousand Oaks.

CSCVVSB's 5K Hope Walk is a family-friendly, community event that promotes awareness and education about cancer while raising critical funds in support of CSCVVSB's mission to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Music, health & wellness booths, snacks, and Kids' Zone will also be on-site.

Saturday, June 6

• Hope Walk Event Day
• Help with delivering boxes to stations
• Assist vendors/sponsors with unloading their cars
• Assist vendors/sponsors with EZ ups, setting up their stations
• Hope Walk Registration
  • Greet walkers and guests
  • Assist with check-in and answer questions
• Hope Walk Route Volunteers & Water Station(s)
  • Cheer walkers and offer directional help on walk route
  • Collect signs and supplies at the end of the walk and return to football stadium
• Hope Walk Cleanup
  • Help with packing up of supplies and loading van
  • Collection of event supplies
  • Help with unloading van at the office
• Other tent stations:

5 shifts available on Saturday June 6, 2026:

• Entire Event: 6:30 AM - 11:30 AM PST
• Set-up, registration, greeters: 6:30 to 8:30 AM PST: 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM PST
• Staffing a CSC Booth(refreshments, water station, survivor/remembrance tent): 7:00 AM - 11:30 AM PST
• Walk route(path directing, sign placement/retrieval): 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM
• Clean up, packing truck, taking down equipment: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
