Board Chair

EmpowerHer Haven is seeking a Founding Board Chair (Volunteer) to provide strategic leadership and governance oversight as we build a strong foundation to empower young women (ages 13–21) through mentorship, mental health advocacy, life skills development, and supportive programming in Chicago. The Board Chair will lead quarterly board meetings, partner closely with the Executive Director on strategic direction, support fundraising and community partnerships, ensure governance and compliance standards are upheld, and assist with board development. Ideal candidates have prior board or executive leadership experience, strong strategic and communication skills, and professional backgrounds in nonprofit leadership, law, finance, healthcare, education, social services, or business, along with a clear passion for advancing opportunities for young women.
