THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU BE FLUENT IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH.
Come be a part of a team helping to feed your neighbors dealing with hunger and food insecurity! We need HELP assisting our visitors to our food pantry and stocking our shelves. Tasks include answering questions from clients, stocking the shelves, and related duties. This is a great opportunity for retirees, to earn community service hours, for students, or to just give back to your community!
The Food Brigade is a hunger relief nonprofit charity that operates client-choice food pantries (known as Community Markets) in New Jersey, in Passaic County, Bergen County, and Hudson County. If you would like to volunteer at a food pantry and help feed hungry people from Clifton, Passaic, Paterson, Wayne, Haledon, Hawthorne, Little Falls, and others, come enlist in the Brigade!

Our entrance is from the parking lot off. Volunteers must please park only on Colfax Avenue where it is not restricted to resident-only parking - our parking lot is reserved for our clients' use.

You must review and familiarize yourself with our Volunteer Guidelines at https://foodbrigade.org/component/phocadownload/category/5-volunteers?download=10:volunteer-guidelines . You must also complete our initial volunteer orientation session at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4Ci7Viw0Bk before being able to sign up for shifts. If you are under the age of 18, the consent of a parent or guardian is required.
Once your volunteer application has been reviewed and approved, you will then be able to access our volunteer scheduling platform and sign up for shifts. Never simply show up to volunteer at a shift that you have not signed up for in advance in through our volunteer scheduling app - simply finding out about this opportunity through this website is NOT sufficient for you to volunteer with us!
