Bereavement Volunteer

This is an Indirect Volunteering opportunity, with the ability to do this remotely, but must be located in the St. Lucie/Martin, Okeechobee County area.

AccentCare Hospice of the Treasure Coast is seeking compassionate and caring individuals to support our bereaved families. Volunteers will make phone calls to families whose loved one has passed away in the last year. Calls will provide grief support and care for bereaved families. Some things that Bereavement Volunteers help our families with may include but are not limited to: Encouraging the bereaved to participate in support groups and/or scheduled activities when appropriate. Complete a Bereavement Note for each phone call or visit.
