Volunteers Needed for The Friendly Ghost Gathering!

Help us create a welcoming Halloween celebration filled with trunk-or-treating, a costume contest, games, activities, and inclusion units! Join disABILITYsa to support the fun and help guests enjoy the day.

Volunteer Shifts

Choose a shift:

• Morning: 10:00 AM–1:30 PM

• Afternoon: 1:00–4:30 PM

We have 24 volunteer spots available—12 per shift! Morning volunteers will help prepare their assigned areas, and afternoon volunteers will help wrap up at the end of the event.

Volunteer Position Descriptions

Game Attendants — 4 volunteers per shift

Help guests enjoy games and activities by explaining how to play, assisting participants as needed, and keeping supplies organized and game areas ready for the next guest.

Trunk-or-Treat Support Team — 2 volunteers per shift

Support participating trunks, help replenish treats, and assist guests as they move through the trunk-or-treat area.

Mobile Changing Unit Attendants — 2 volunteers per shift

Welcome guests, provide information about the unit, and help maintain an orderly, clean, and stocked space. Respect guests’ privacy and notify event staff when assistance is needed. This role does not include hands-on personal care or transfers. A criminal background check and role-specific training are required.

Sensory Room Attendants — 2 volunteers per shift

Help maintain a calm, welcoming space where guests can take a break from event activities. Greet visitors, organize sensory materials, and support a quiet environment. A criminal background check and role-specific training are required.

disABILITYsa Info Table & Guest Registration — 2 volunteers per shift

Welcome guests, assist with registration, share information about disABILITYsa, and help visitors find activities and inclusion units throughout the event.
