Social Media Platform Lead — Work Directly With Our Social Media Manager & Executive Director

Legacy Paws Rescue is looking for creative, hands-on Social Media Platform Leads who can help us tell our story in ways people haven't seen before. You'll take ownership of a specific platform, working collaboratively with our Social Media Manager and Executive Director to turn our mission into content that connects with people, builds community, and inspires action.
We're building a different kind of rescue, and we don't want to tell our story the same way everyone else does. We're real, raw, occasionally messy, and willing to show the parts of rescue that don't fit neatly into a picture-perfect post. We believe the same mission can be told through a hundred different perspectives—and each one can help someone see something they might otherwise miss.
Imagine telling a story through the founder's eyes, the dog's experience, or even the perspective of a bed, toy, or worn-out leash that's been part of a dog's journey. Tell it through a child's questions, a foster's doubts, an adopter's transformation, or a community that comes together to help. The story stays connected to our mission, but each perspective reveals something different.
That's what we mean by perspective. We're looking for people who can spot the stories hiding in everyday moments and turn them into creative, platform-specific content that makes people feel something, think differently, and want to be part of what we're building.
Each lead will bring their own ideas and understanding of their platform while collaborating with the manager and ED on content that supports our bigger goals: education, prevention, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, partnerships, and community engagement.
We're looking for storytellers, creative thinkers, and doers who understand that social media is more than posting. A poll needs follow-up. A contest needs a winner. A fundraiser needs promotion and updates. We need people who take ownership and see things through.
You don't have to know everything about rescue. You do need to understand your platform, care about the mission, bring ideas to the table, and be willing to experiment, learn, and make things happen.
