Deliver Meals to Homebound - Union Co. GA

Bring a smile to seniors and help them to remain living in their homes! Join the group of people who deliver hot lunch meals to homebound citizens in Union Co. Bring lunch and check on the welfare of those people who are not always able to make their own meals. This service allows many recipients to stay in their own homes instead of moving to a more costly assisted living facility. Deliveries occur only on weekdays Monday through Friday from approximately 11am to 1pm and can usually be completed in an hour or two. Assignments can be as little as once a month or weekly or every day, depending on your availability and schedule. No weekend, holiday, or evening deliveries. Permanent volunteers are sought who can deliver for at least 9 months to a year or more. Appropriate safety measures must be followed. Training provided at the pick-up site.
