Amedisys Hospice of Murfreesboro is seeking Hospice Birthday Volunteers to help honor and celebrate hospice patients on their birthdays. For many patients, a simple acknowledgment of their special day brings joy, dignity, and comfort. Your time and kindness can turn an ordinary day into a cherished memory.

🎂 What Hospice Birthday Volunteers Do

• Deliver birthday cards, small gifts, or birthday bags to hospice patients
• Offer warm birthday wishes and companionship during visits
• Help create a sense of celebration, joy, and recognition
• Coordinate with the hospice team to ensure appropriate, patient‑centered celebrations
• Support patients and families by making birthdays meaningful and memorable

No medical or personal care is provided—this role focuses on celebration, presence, and emotional support.

• Cheerful, compassionate adults (18+)
• Individuals who enjoy bringing joy and encouragement to others
• Creative people who like cards, small celebrations, or thoughtful gestures
• Dependable and respectful of patient privacy and boundaries
• No hospice experience required. Training is provided.
