NYTC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Tanzanian community in the New York metropolitan area through cultural, educational, and community development initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Finance Intern will support the Treasurer by assisting with:
- Organizing financial records and receipts
- Maintaining financial spreadsheets and transaction logs
- Assisting with preparation of financial summaries
- Supporting documentation for donations and contributions
- Working with the Treasurer to help create and improve financial organization and reporting structures
- Helping prepare financial information for internal meetings
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Interest or experience in helping create financial systems, processes, or organizational structures
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
