MEN — STEP OUT OF THE NOISE.
You’re told to grind. Provide. Push through.
Always moving. Always carrying something.
But somewhere in all that…
it’s easy to forget: you’re not a machine — you’re human.
Hospice asks something different.
Not strength. Not speed. Not success.
Presence.
Just one hour a week.
Sit with someone in their final days.
Just be present in the moment.
Listen to veterans talk about shaking hands with a president,
jumping out of airplanes…
and the quiet pain of losing their wives.
Listen to the stories — some heavy, some hilarious.
Share a quiet moment. A laugh. Maybe even a tear.
No fixing. No pressure. No pretending.
If you have a teenage son, bring him with you.
Show him the strength in being present — the compassionate side of a man.
At Providence Hospice, we know you’re busy.
That’s why you’ll have a Volunteer Coordinator to guide you every step —
from answering your questions to helping with the application process.
You’ll shadow experienced volunteers before going out on your own,
and you’ll have the full support of our hospice team —
social workers, chaplains, and nurses — beside you along the way.
You won’t get rich.
You won’t get abs.
But you will walk away changed.
Grounded. Clear. Real.
