Role Description:
We are seeking a committed and empathetic Mentorship Program Supervisor to support our structured mentorship initiative. This volunteer role involves overseeing a small cohort of 9-12 mentorship participants and ensuring a positive, organized, and supportive experience for both mentors and mentees.
This is a 9-12 month minimum commitment, with the opportunity to renew. The role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills who are passionate about community support, personal development, and mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary supervisor for a mentorship cohort, supporting mentors and mentees throughout the program cycle.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for participants, including setting expectations, timelines, and program guidelines.
- Provide ongoing guidance, check-ins, and support to ensure mentorship relationships remain productive and respectful.
- Monitor participant engagement, attendance, and overall progress within the program.
- Address questions, concerns, or challenges that arise, escalating issues when necessary.
- Support communication between mentors, mentees, and the broader program team.
- Maintain organized records related to participant participation, schedules, and progress.
- Contribute to program evaluations, feedback collection, and end-of-cycle reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous improvement and future cohorts.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple participants while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a team.
- Prior experience in mentorship, supervision, coaching, education, or community programs is an asset.
- Interest in mental health, youth development, or community-based programming is strongly valued.
