Volunteer Tutors Needed for an After School Program for K-8th grade Students

About MAP:

Masa's After school program also known as MAP focuses on providing scholars in K-8th grade with homework help and academic support in the areas of most need in a safe and nurturing environment. We rely heavily on volunteers to provide ongoing tutoring and mentoring to help scholars improve their academic performance, learning engagement and overall confidence.

IN - PERSON Program Details:

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5 to 7pm

Location: Masa, 2770 3rd Ave, 1st Floor Bronx, NY, 10455

Program Requirements:

• Some experience in tutoring, education, or child development field preferred but not required
• 16+ years old
• Able to volunteer at least 1x a week (2 hrs) but preferably 2x a week (4 hrs) for 4-6 months
• Attend mandatory orientation and trainings
• Adhere to in-person health & safety policies
