THERAPY DOGS NEEDED!

Therapy dog visits to hospice patients are a bright spot in the day! They bring unconditional love, a warm touch and happiness that make all the difference to a patient.

You and your dog can be the special visitors to our patients! You may choose the patients you would like to visit as well as the day(s) and time(s) convenient for you. Your visits bring joy to the patient and you leave with a full heart for the difference you have made!

As one of the largest hospice companies in the Columbus area, Capital City Hospice serves patients in ten counties in Central Ohio. Therapy dogs are popular 'visitors' to many of our patients, so please consider joining our volunteer team.

Complete this application to learn more and to register for an upcoming orientation (1st Wednesdays, 1-4 pm or 3rd Thursdays, 9-noon at our office). If your dog is not already certified, check with Alliance of Therapy Dogs or Therapy Dogs International for information to register your dog.
