Director of Individual & Corporate Donations — Role Overview

A Director of Individual & Corporate Donations leads fundraising efforts targeting both individual donors and corporate partners to support an organization’s mission. This role is central to building and sustaining a diversified funding base and often reports to the Chief Executive Officer or Director of Development.

Core Responsibilities

• Individual Giving Strategy & Execution:
  • Build and expand a donor pipeline through prospect identification, research, and engagement.
  • Design and implement moves management systems across the full donor lifecycle.
  • Manage and cultivate a portfolio of donors, soliciting and stewarding gifts to meet annual revenue goals
• Corporate Giving & Partnerships:
  • Grow and manage corporate partnerships, including sponsorships and strategic collaborations.
  • Identify and pursue new corporate opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and brand.
  • Cultivate relationships to increase financial support and community engagement
• Donor Engagement & Communications:
  • Develop compelling, donor-centered communications and engagement strategies.
  • Partner with marketing to align messaging, storytelling, and campaigns.
  • Strengthen stewardship practices to deepen long-term donor relationships
• Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, often overseeing a small advancement team.
  • Collaborate across advancement, marketing, and institutional giving departments
