BEDSIDE PRESENCE needed in Blacklick, Whitehall, Pataskala, Pickerington & Groveport

To provided Bedside Presence for patients in their last hours, Capital City Hospice is building a 'BSP Availability Calendar' for volunteers to select the day(s) and time(s) they can sit bedside with a patient. YOUR time on YOUR schedule gives an immeasurable amount of comfort to the patient and family.

Capital City Hospice continues to provide support for our patients and families, especially with its "bedside presence" (BSP) program for patients who are in their last days and hours. A quiet "presence" makes a difference, providing support to the patient as well as the family. Offer music or reading to support the patient while the family can take a break knowing you are with their loved one.

We invite you to join our team of caring volunteers, to offer support to our patients and families. You may volunteer when it is convenient for you. Our BSP calendar will let us know when you are available.

Volunteer orientations are scheduled each month (1st Wednesday, 1-4 and 3rd Thursday 9-noon) at our Capital City Hospice office, or we can meet at a time & location convenient for you.
