Red Cross Club Coordinator

Purpose: Support the Regional Volunteer Services Officer as a Red Cross Club Coordinator. This role serves as the Red Cross Unit Contact for the Club and is the person ensuring the link between the Club and the Region in which the Club resides.

Responsibilities:

1. Meet with Red Cross Club officers and the Club Advisor/Sponsor in your portfolio bi-monthly (may be outside of business hours)
2. Assist the Red Cross Club officers with the Club registration/renewal process on Volunteer Connection, including ensuring the Club Constitution is approved and submitted.
3. Lead efforts to get all Red Cross Club members registered promptly in Volunteer Connection.
4. Ensure that the Club enters all Club Events in Volunteer Connection
5. Approve event hours in Volunteer Connection after the event has occurred
6. Ensure the club is promoting the Red Cross according to the Red Cross Mission
7. Meet with the Regional Volunteer Services Officer bi-weekly.

Qualifications:

1. 1. Access to a laptop or desktop computer
   2. Access and experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
   3. Excellent written and verbal skills
   4. Good organizational skills
   5. Detail-oriented
   6. Comfortable making phone calls to volunteers
   7. Experience working with high school-age youth
   8. Excellent people skills to understand and meet the needs of a diverse audience

Minimum Length of Appointment: 1 school year
