Jewish Family Services of Greenwich is offering a part-time seasonal internship opportunity within our Older Adult Services program. This internship is ideal for students passionate about aging, community engagement, and social work practice with older adults.
Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting older adults through outreach, program evaluation, and direct service. You’ll work alongside experienced staff to help reduce isolation, promote wellness, and connect clients with vital resources.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with client outreach and wellness check-ins
- Support group programming and community events
- Help coordinate transportation, referrals, and service navigation
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality
- Contribute to program evaluation
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Social Work, Gerontology, or related program (BSW/MSW students encouraged to apply)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Interest in aging services and community-based support
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity
