Mentor a Teen Aging Out of Foster Care

Family Partnerships of Central Florida is the lead Community-Based Care (CBC) agency serving Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Brevard Counties. We are seeking caring adult volunteers to mentor young adults transitioning out of foster care.

Turning 18 while in foster care can be overwhelming. Many of our youth face this milestone without the support of a consistent adult to guide them through life’s challenges. That’s where you come in.

As a mentor, you’ll help your mentee build essential life skills such as:

• Creating and sticking to a budget
• Developing study habits and staying motivated in school
• Navigating the job market and securing employment
• Building confidence and resilience through encouragement and support

Time Commitment:

We ask mentors to spend at least 4 hours per month with their mentee-ideally one hour per week. The program is designed to be flexible, accommodating both the needs of the youth and the schedules of our amazing volunteers.
