The Tuck In Call program is an extra layer of support volunteers provide patients and their families. Volunteers make calls (typically on a Wednesday or a Thursday) to inquire about a patient's needs, ensure they have sufficient medications, equipment and supplies on hand. The Tuck-In Program serves as early identification of patient needs resulting in fewer calls "off hours" when pharmacy's may be closed, or deliveries may be delayed.
Calls are made in office, and a script is provided for each call. typical time commitment is 2 hours per week. Training is provided, clinical experience is not required.
