Once or twice a month we need canteen volunteers at our community blood drives in the area. The drives can be anywhere from 4-7 hours and are at different locations in the area.

1 hour orientation and then on the job training. Criminal background check and child abuse clearances are required (free for volunteers). Most of our blood drives are during workdays, let us know if you're interested in going to blood drives
Descripción
This is a blood-donation volunteer opportunity for a Canteen Attendant. In plain language, the role involves:
- Greeting donors after they finish donating.
- Giving them a drink and snack.
- Watching them for at least 15 minutes to make sure they feel well.
- Volunteering at blood drives in places such as schools, colleges, businesses, churches, fixed donation centers, and community organizations.
- Choosing your own schedule, with the greatest need during weekdays plus some evenings and weekends.
- Helping with office tasks such as phone calls, filing, mailing awards, and letters, table events.
- Mascot, for special events.
- Not eligible for court-ordered community-service hours and not currently working with employment/placement agencies.
The role sounds particularly suited to someone who enjoys meeting people, providing basic hospitality, and being attentive to others' well-being.
