Looking for Volunteers to Lead Arts and Crafts Events in NYC!

About Us:

The Phoenix is a nonprofit building sober communities with people who are in recovery, are sober, or are allies of folks who are. All are free to join with 48 hours of sobriety.

The ultimate impact Phoenix seeks is to help individuals not only achieve sobriety, but to thrive in recovery. The Phoenix Model is unique because of its non-clinical approach that uses the power of human connection and positive coping mechanisms.

We are looking for volunteers to lead arts & crafts events in NYC! This can simply be about holding space to be in community with others; it doesn't have to involve teaching!

Requirements:

• Are at least 18 years old
• Live in the U.S.
• You enjoy working with groups of people
• Have experience with or are an ally towards sobriety, recovery, or being substance-free
• Complete onboarding and training through our app NewForm: https://thephoenix.org/app
• You have a craft you enjoy and want to build a community around it. You don't necessarily need to teach. We can help pay for materials :)

Responsibilities:

• Lead a recurring arts & crafts event (monthly/bi-weekly/weekly etc)
• Bringing your own space or hosting at a location you have access to is preferred. We can also help coordinate logistics or help find a space!
• Complete onboarding and training through our app, NewForm
