We at the People’s Table is a community lead endeavor to address the adverse effects of poverty and hunger in our communities. In a community-based, supportive, and respectful environment, People’s Table empowers families through nutritionally-sound food, resource connection, and strengthening the social fabric of neighborhoods.

We’re looking for a regularly scheduled driver to assist with our food pickup and delivery operations. This person would directly increase the capacity for a local grassroots nonprofit to catalyze positive change and transform the wellbeing of Milwaukee neighborhoods.

Key responsibilities in the role will be:

• Driving - we’ll have a large refrigerated cargo van for our food pickups and drop offs
• Collecting and delivering donations - you’ll be assisting in picking up some of our groceries Collect donations in our van from our community food partners
• Unload food and organize food into our food supply room

Days and Times Needed

• Regularly needed on Wednesday mornings from 9am - 11am
• Handful of other times per month as needed, based on when suppliers need to get pickups.

We will require proof of license and will do a driving background check via Checkr

• 80 Food Collective Engagements with resource partners such as employment, financial education, foodshare application, and legal
• 500,000 pounds of food given away
