About Us: Guiding Path Enrichment Center (GPEC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality tutoring and educational support to K-12 students in the CSRA and surrounding areas. Our mission is to empower local youth with the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and beyond.

Volunteer Position: K-8th Grade Tutor

Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our team as K-8th grade tutors. As a tutor, you will work one-on-one or in small groups with students to help them improve their academic skills, boost their confidence, and achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tutoring in various subjects, including math, reading, writing, and science.
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans for each student.
• Track and report student progress.
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

• Passion for working with children and a commitment to their academic success.
• Strong knowledge in the subjects you will tutor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
