Certified Pet Therapy Volunteer – Catholic Hospice (Miami-Dade & Broward Counties)

Catholic Hospice is currently seeking Certified Pet Therapy Volunteers to provide comfort and emotional support to hospice patients throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

⚠️ Please Note: This opportunity is strictly for certified pet therapist only. Certification is required.

Pet therapy visits bring peace, joy, and meaningful connection to patients facing serious illness. A gentle interaction with a trained therapy animal can reduce anxiety, provide emotional comfort, and create beautiful moments of calm and happiness for both patients and their families.

Volunteer visits are available 7 days a week between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, in private homes, assisted living communities, nursing homes, and medical centers.

As a Certified Pet Therapy Volunteer, you will:

• Provide supervised, compassionate visits to hospice patients
• Receive hospice-specific orientation and support
• Have flexible scheduling options
• Make a profound difference in the lives of patients during their final chapter

Requirements (Certified Pet Therapy Only)

To be considered, you must:

• Provide proof of active certification
• Submit current vaccination records for your therapy animal
• Complete a background screening and drug screening (covered by Catholic Hospice)
• Provide a valid driver’s license or identification
• Provide proof of car insurance (if applicable)
