Hospice is a special kind of caring that is person and family centered and seeks to provide support and comfort to those facing a life limiting illness. Volunteers play a large role in this effort by sharing their skills and interests in a manner that enriches the quality of life for those they serve.
We are in need of compassionate and caring individuals who can provide companionship to hospice patients in their homes or nursing facilities. A companionship volunteer provides comfort and emotional support by talking with the patient, reading, doing activities, or simply being present. We need people like you to be a friend to those in need!
You can make a difference in the lives of others! To become a hospice volunteer, or if you would like more information, please reply to the listing or call 330-873-3468 and ask for the Daphne Massaro, Volunteer Coordinator.
