About PromiseBridge | Partnerships & Institutional Engagement
PromiseBridge is MAP’s partnerships division responsible for building and managing relationships with schools, agencies, and community institutions. The division ensures that partnerships are strategic, compliant, and aligned with MAP’s program capacity—creating sustainable pathways for expansion and impact.
Role Overview
We are seeking a School Partnerships Manager to lead the development and management of relationships with NYC schools and education stakeholders.
This role is responsible for expanding MAP’s school partnerships while ensuring that every partnership is:
- Operationally feasible
- Programmatically aligned
- Fully compliant with DOE and organizational requirements
This is a strategic role that balances growth with readiness—ensuring MAP expands responsibly and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development & Relationship Management
- Identify and build relationships with NYC schools, administrators, and key stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for school partners
- Maintain strong, consistent communication with partner schools
Strategic Expansion & Alignment
- Evaluate new partnership opportunities based on program capacity and readiness
- Ensure alignment between school needs and MAP’s program model
- Support thoughtful, phased expansion across school sites
Compliance & Institutional Coordination
- Ensure all partnerships align with DOE requirements and organizational compliance standards
- Work closely with PromiseShield to maintain adherence to data privacy, safety, and external provider requirements
- Support documentation and approval processes for school partnerships
Program Capacity Integration
- Coordinate with Program Leadership to assess staffing, mentor availability, and operational readiness
- Ensure new partnerships do not exceed program capacity
- Align site expansion with available resources and infrastructure
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with Government Relations and Advocacy teams on broader education engagement
- Collaborate with Data & Impact team to support reporting and partnership outcomes
- Maintain timely, professional responsiveness via Google Workspace
Qualifications
Required
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience working with schools, education systems, or community organizations
- Ability to balance growth with operational and compliance considerations
- Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills
- Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values
Preferred
- Experience working with NYC DOE or public school systems
- Familiarity with school partnership development or program expansion
- Understanding of compliance requirements for school-based programming
- Experience in nonprofit or education program management
Commitment
- Volunteer role
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
- Hybrid / remote with NYC-based engagement as needed
