    Content Acquisition Manager

    What You’ll Do

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Content Acquisition Manager. Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, this role is the UIU Insider—the primary connection point responsible for gathering, documenting, and routing the hottest news and updates from across UIU National's core philanthropic, entrepreneurial, and cultural endeavors. Your work ensures the entire National Marketing team is always in the know, allowing us to fuel compelling campaigns and publications.

As an integral member of the UIU National Marketing Team, you will take on the following essential roles and responsibilities:

    Content Sourcing

    • Act as the primary liaison between the National Marketing Team and the Directors of UIU's core pillars (UIUCares, Cultural Preservation, Connects).
    • Proactively gather and document key updates, successes, and upcoming initiatives from each pillar's leadership team in advance of required deadlines.
    • Ensure that content gathered aligns with the organization's four pillars, mission, and current marketing priorities.

    Marketing Team Enablement

    • Organize and route acquired content (text, assets, key facts) to the relevant Directors (PR & Comms, Social Media) and Managers for production (e.g., press releases, social media posts, video scripts).
    • Maintain a centralized, organized repository of acquired content and news, complete with status updates and required citation/source details.
    • Collaborate with wider National Marketing team to identify high-impact stories and campaigns that require a dedicated national campaign focus.

    National Pillar Relationship Management

    • Maintain strong working relationships with core pillar leaders (UIUCares, Cultural Preservation, Connects) to ensure trust and timely information exchange.
    • Attend key pillar planning meetings as the marketing representative to identify content opportunities and pipeline information back to the National Marketing calendar.

    Who You Are

    • Highly inquisitive and passionate about being the first to know about UIU's major organizational impact.
    • An outstanding communicator who can build rapport quickly and conduct professional, efficient interviews with leaders.
    • Extremely detail-oriented, reliable, and organized in managing information flow, deadlines, and asset tracking.
    • A collaborative team member who thrives in a role that connects multiple departments across a large organization.
    • Experience in internal reporting, research, or content management systems is a plus, but not required.
    • Igbo speaker preferred, but not essential.
