Kitchen Aide- Senior Nutrition Program at the Grace Vargas Senior Center in Rialto

We have an urgent need for volunteers for the Senior Nutrition Lunch program provided at Grace Vargas Senior Center in Rialto. If you can lend a helping hand, we desperately need your help! No experience is required; we will provide training.

Assist FSA staff with meal preparation and portioning food. Use protective barriers including gloves, apron and proper hair covering. Adhere to all food safety guidelines. Assist with wrapping, date-labeling, storing and rotating food items. Perform general cleaning of counters and equipment in the kitchen area. Assist with receiving, storage and inventory of food and supplies.

Must have or obtain a Food Handler’s card within 2 weeks (through FSA). Must have good communication skills and the ability to follow directions. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 10-15 lbs. Maintain good personal hygiene.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM, the Lunch program is from 11 AM to 12 PM.

FSA provides a safe working environment; therefore, all volunteers and staff must complete and pass the live scan background check.
