Director of Outreach (Virtual)
Role Overview
The Director of Outreach serves as a strategic leader responsible for expanding the visibility, partnerships, and community impact of iamALIVE, Inc. This role is critical in advancing the organization’s mission to empower youth who have experienced bullying by building strong, collaborative relationships with schools, community organizations, faith-based institutions, and stakeholders.
Through both virtual engagement and community presence, the Director of Outreach develops and executes outreach strategies that increase awareness, strengthen partnerships, and extend programming to youth and families. This leader ensures that all outreach efforts align with iamALIVE’s commitment to fostering resilience, inclusion, and safe environments for young people.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Outreach & Relationship Building
- Design and implement a comprehensive outreach strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Build and sustain partnerships with schools, nonprofits, youth organizations, and community leaders
- Expand national and local engagement through virtual platforms, including LinkedIn and social media
Partnership Development & Community Engagement
- Identify and cultivate mission-aligned partnerships that support anti-bullying education and youth empowerment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create programs, workshops, and initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between iamALIVE and external partners
Advocacy & Awareness
- Lead initiatives that raise awareness about bullying prevention and youth mental wellness
- Represent the organization at events, webinars, and speaking engagements
- Amplify messaging through digital campaigns and community-based outreach
Resource Development & Support
- Partner with leadership to identify funding opportunities, sponsorships, and in-kind support
- Support volunteer recruitment and engagement through community networks
Data, Reporting & Impact Measurement
- Track outreach efforts, partnerships, and engagement metrics
- Provide regular reports to leadership on growth, reach, and impact
- Continuously refine outreach strategies based on data and organizational priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in outreach, partnerships, or community engagement
- Proven ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships
- Experience working with youth-focused programs, education, or social impact initiatives
- Strong communication, networking, and public speaking skills
- Proficiency in digital outreach tools and platforms (LinkedIn, social media, virtual events)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a team
- Passion for youth empowerment, anti-bullying advocacy, and community impact
Estimated Commitment:
- 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Availability Expectations:
- Attend leadership or team meetings (virtual)
- Participate in monthly strategy or board-aligned updates
- Be available for occasional evening or weekend events (virtual or local, as needed)
- Maintain consistent communication with partners and internal team members
