Volunteer Driver for Older Adults

Overview: The Aging at Home Driver will transport seniors in the greater Lansdowne area to medical appointments and basic errands. You can serve as a liasion between a hombound senior and the greater community!

Duties May Include:

• Transporting individuals to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, errands as needed
• Keeping a log of passenger activity

Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per month

Support: Training for this position will be provided. Ongoing support will be provided by the Program Director, as needed.

Qualifications: Enthusiasm for the Aging at Home program and assisting residents in the greater Lansdowne area or the Ridley Township, ability to work well with a diverse group of people. Volunteers must have their own vehicle, current insurance and valid driver’s license in addition to a clean criminal background check. A knowledge of the area is a plus! Mileage reimbursement is available!
